Le trump international fut notre second golf joué à Dubai après le Faldo à l’Emirates golf club. Ce fut aussi la seul fois durant notre séjour ou nous n avons pas pris de twilight tout bonnement car j’ai trouvé , toujours avec l’application VIYA, un teet ime a 10:30 pour 590AED/pers (120$).
Certain diront que ce sont les pires heures pour jouer au golf a Dubai a cause de la chaleur mais le 28 Novembre, même pendant un jours assez chaud, c’est totalement OK (le max durant les journée étant de 26 degrés Celcius).
Arrivé en voiture au golf club, très bien accueilli pas un free valet qui nous guide ensuite vers le proshop. Quand vous montez les marche devant ce magnifique bâtiment et vous vous retrouvez sous cette arche avec vue sur le golf vous sentez une forme de grandeur et de magnificence. Tout est beau, tout est propre, tout est grand et au parfait endroit. Une fois être passé par le proshop pour dire “coucou on est la”, nous somme allés au driving range, plutôt jolie mais rien d’exceptionnel. C’était même assez banal mais encore une fois dans la perfection.
Nous devions être avec 2 autre personne qui ne sont jamais venue (très courant a Dubai et encore plus au Trump selon les marshal). Franchement cela nous est totalement égal. Et après avoir pu observer les autre joueur présent sur le golf (le tee shot du 1 étant accolé au fin du fairway du 9) nous avons conclu que c’était certainement mieux de ne pas être pair avec les gens qui joue laba.
Je ne stereotipe pas le genre de joueur du Trump, et il est très certain que 50% étant des touristes cela ne reflète en rien la réalité de l’endroit, mais tous ces gens avec 0 étiquette, qui passe leur temps a crier, qui roule avec le buggy sur les tee are ( je peux continuer longtemps la liste est longue) ils donnent une très mauvaise apparence et réputation au golf. Ce fut le seul golf ou nous avons réellement ressentit cela a Dubai.
Je vous en ai deja parlé mais encore une fois, depart sur le 1, et la encore une impression de grandeur. des fairway large avec une vue degagé. Nous nous serions limite cru en floride.
Ce golf est vraiment différent que tous ceux qu nous avons joué aux Émirats, c’est grands, c’est large, c’est plus forgiving, on peut taper dans la balle comme Dechambeau sans avoir peur de se retrouver dans un bunker ou du sable.
Les fairways sont bien entretenu, très plaisant a jouer. Les green sont rapide et encore une fois bien entretenus mais super dur a jouer. Mais vraiment super dur a jouer, sans déconné! I l y a de la pente dans tous les sens, la plupart sont surélevé et la marge d’erreur est infime. Il faut soigner les approches et etres tres gentle sur les green pour soigner sa score card.
C’est super plaisasnt de jouer au Trump mais rien d’exeptionnel. Grace a la Viya APP nous avons payé 3 fois moin chère que le tee time normal (allez jeter un oeil sur nos tips ” Cheapest way to play golf in Dubai “).

Some may say that these are the worst hours to play golf in Dubai because of the heat but on the 28th of November, even on a hot day, it’s totally OK (the maximum during the day being 26 degrees Celcius).
Arrived by car at the golf club, very well greeted by a free valet who then guided us to the proshop. When you walk up the steps in front of this magnificent building and find yourself under this arch overlooking the golf course you feel a form of grandeur and magnificence. Everything is beautiful, everything is clean, everything is big and in the perfect place. After passing through the proshop to say “hello we’re here” we went to the driving range, which was quite nice but nothing exceptional. It was quite ordinary but once again in perfection.
We had to be with 2 other people who never came (very common in Dubai and even more so in Trump according to the marshals). Frankly, we didn’t care at all. And after observing the other players on the course (the tee shot on 1 is next to the end of the fairway on 9) we concluded that it was certainly better not to be paired with the people who play there.
I don’t stereotype the type of player at Trump, and it is very certain that 50% being tourists does not reflect the reality of the place, but all these people with 0 etiquette, who spend their time shouting, who drive the buggy on the tee are (I can go on and on) they give a very bad appearance and reputation to the golf. This was the only golf course where we really felt this in Dubai.
I’ve already mentioned it but once again, we started on 1, and again it was a great feeling. wide fairways with a clear view. It was almost like being in Florida.
This golf course is really different than all the ones we played in the Emirates, it’s big, it’s wide, it’s more forgiving, you can hit the ball like Dechambeau without being afraid of getting in a bunker or sand.
The fairways are well maintained, very pleasant to play. The greens are fast and again well maintained but very hard to play. But really hard to play, no kidding! There are slopes in all directions, most of them are elevated and the margin of error is very small. You have to be very careful with your approaches and very gentle on the greens to keep your score card clean.
It’s great fun to play Trump but nothing exceptional. Thanks to the Viya APP we paid 3 times less than the normal tee time (check out our tips “Cheapest way to play golf in Dubai”).

History
Developed by DAMAC Properties, one of the leading luxury real estate companies in the UAE, and operated by The Trump Organization, the golf facility at Trump International Golf Club Dubai is a Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner co-design which debuted in early 2017, becoming the first new 18-hole layout to open in Dubai for seven years.
The course is set within a massive residential project that’s situated close to Dubai Sports City, with links-style fairways routed around a 500-acre property which was until very recently nothing more than a flat and barren desert landscape. There’s also a 9-hole par three academy course, floodlit driving range and short game facility.
Feature holes include the short par four 8th, which is played to an awkward raised green, and the left doglegged 13th, where the “island” green is completely surrounded by sand. Rather disappointingly, the closing holes on both nines play around opposite sides of a large lake in front of the clubhouse – now where might you have seen that before?

Le mot est fort mais comment décrire différemment ce sentiment.
L’endroit est magnifique, le staff est au top, le parcours est bien a jouer MAIS, ce mais qui en fait revient souvent.
En gros je dirais qu’il manque quelque chose pour que ce golf soit dans la catégorie superieur.

The word is strong but how else can I describe this feeling.
The place is beautiful, the staff is top notch, the course is good to play BUT, that but which in fact often comes back.
Basically I would say that there is something missing to make this golf course in the superior category.

.Le bâtiment est imposant et magnifique et vous arrivez directement au milieu du bâtiments avec tout a proximité et très facile d’accès.
.Le pro shop est superbe, beaucoup de choix et des prix qui concurrence les prix en Europe
.Nous n’y somme pas allez au restaurant mais la terrasse qui surplombe le golf donne vraiment envie.
.Les golf cart sont en très bonne état, avec GPS, serviette et eau (bouteille en métal fournie).

The pro shop is superb, lots of choice and prices that compete with European prices.
We didn’t go to the restaurant but the terrace overlooking the golf course is a real treat.

C’est tout de même un très jolie golf, super a jouer surtout si vous aimez les fairway larges. Les plus gros chalenges étant les green surélevés et rapides qui peuvent transformer votre score Card et votre journée en cauchemar.
Les équipements sont en parfaites condition et le staff est a vos coté durant toute la durée de votre visite.
Irais-je rejouer laba? Oui, Mais pas au prix d’un tee time normal. Je ne pense pas que le Trump propose assez pour payer 300$, tout est bien mais pas assez. Il manque quelques choses pour en faire un lieu incontournable. De plus le feeling etait tres mauvais avec les autres golfer present ce jours la. Meme si vous ne les croisez pas souvent, vous gardez un mauvais souvenir lors de ces rares moments (Cela peux paraitre too much mais nous sommes tres attaché aux respect des regles, des autres golfeurs et du golf)

It’s still a very nice course, great to play especially if you like wide fairways. The biggest challenges are the elevated and fast greens which can turn your score card and your day into a nightmare.
The facilities are in perfect condition and the staff are on hand throughout your visit.
Would I play there again? Yes, but not at the price of a normal tee time. I don’t think the Trump offers enough to pay $300, everything is good but not enough. It lacks a few things to make it a must-see place. Also the feeling was very bad with the other golfers there that day. Even if you don’t meet them very often, you keep a bad memory of these rare moments (It may seem too much but we are very attached to the respect of the rules, the other golfers and the golf)
